The last few weeks seem to have just slipped by so quickly. I have been busy though making new products for the site and etsy. Yesterday, I was able to get a bunch of new goats milk soap up on etsy, and the same soaps should be up on here today or tomorrow. I also have a whole whack of new scents in our body butter. Our body butter gets rave reviews from anyone who tries it, we have a variety of scents available, as well as a batch of unscented. All of these are currently on the photography bench. I’m hoping to have them all up on the site by this weekend sometime.
My favourite soap from the last batch is Apple Blossoms - this is now available on Etsy.
The other day, my daughter and I made some cute soaps using temporary tattoos. These were fun, but the tattoos tend to bleed a bit. I’m not sure if all temporary tattoos would do that, or if it was just the ones we tried. I had seen these done on Soapqueens blog, so I’ll have to go back and see if she mentioned anything about the bleeding.
Please excuse the photo on this one. I took it from my phone
I am so in love with these earrings. I discovered them on etsy this morning, and I wasn’t surprised to discover that they were done by staroftheeast - I’ve come across her work before, as she has a lot of sea urchin jewelry as well.
Our body butters, and Loofah scrub soaps are now available at Jammed Lovely in Elora, Ontario. Jammed Lovely is located in the Elora Mews - 58 Mill St.
Laura Demers, the proprietor has set up a beautiful little gift shop filled with unusual, and lovely gift items primarily handmade from all over the world. I’m busy today getting a second order ready to ship out to Jammed Lovely. My husband is having fits as the entire house smells like chocolate (one of our most popular scents) - He has an unfortunate chocolate allergy, but he loves it. I think the smell is driving him a little nuts ![]()
Erin! - You’ve won our $50 value prize pack. I’ll be emailing you later today to get your details. And I also have a special prize for Lisa, Gabitza, Erica, and Jennifer.
I’ll be emailing all of you later tonight to get your addresses. Thanks for entering, and I hope you love your new soaps!
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for me. In my day job, I own a bead store/hot glass studio. Of course, this is our most crazy time of year as we (and our customers) get ready for all of their fall and holiday shows. I have my first day off in a couple of weeks, and I can’t wait to get in the kitchen to make soap. I decided that I really do need to veg out for a bit though, so I’m off to read a book for a while. More later ![]()
On etsy of course!
I always plan to be so organized. Every year around this time, I always start to plan so that I’m not running around like crazy trying to get everything done at the last minute. Every year, I hit almost the end of December with only a few days to go to Christmas, with nothing done. I end up having to take a day off work, and attempt to do everything in one day. It never works. This year, it’s different already.
Stuffed to the max on way too much turkey and stuffing, I plopped myself down on the couch with my laptop. I now have the two hardest people to buy for …. done! I’m now off to hunt for a few more people. My goal for tonight is to get ten of my usual gift recipients all purchased on my favourite website (other than my own sites of course). I just love the variety that you ccan find on etsy, and such unusual items too. You’re guranteed to give someone a unique gift. Now i’ll be able to take that day off work to wrap all the presents, and not fight through mobs at the mall.
No new soap tonight, as my kitchen is still a huge disaster from Thanksgiving dinner….I’ll deal with that tomorrow.
It’s finally ready! We just love this formula. Whipped up with lovely butters and oils, our belly butter melts into your skin to relieve your dry, itchy, expanding belly. We’ve discovered that it also works wonders on all of your other dry bits (feet, elbows, knees). We’ve kept our first version plain and simple, without adding extra fragrance, and just letting the lovely cocoa scent come through from the cocoa butter.
These are just too cute. We found the most adorable flower mold for our baby soaps. Our goats milk soap is perfect for your little one (or anyone with sensitive skin for that matter) - Just the soap, no added fragrances or colours, no harsh chemicals, or alcohol. Nothing but soapy goodness for your little one.
We’ve had a pretty busy weekend, I’ve got quite a few new products almost ready to go live on the site. We still have some photography to do, but it will have to wait until Sunday night most likely. We’re celebrating my husbands 40th birthday tonight. I’ve got way too many people coming to our way too small house
It should be lots of fun, and probably a little crazy. I think we have about 15 small children coming along with a slew of adults. Happy birthday Dan!
Here’s what we have almost ready to go. The most exciting is our new belly balm! We’ve also got new scents in the shaving soaps, plus some whipped shea and mango butters.
